Solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) firm Canadian Solar has secured battery supply agreements and long-term service agreements through its subsidiary e-Storage for two US BESS projects developed by Aypa Power, in the ERCOT and California markets.
The California Energy Commission (CEC) has published an environmental impact report (EIR) for a huge 4.6GWh co-located BESS and solar project spread across 9,500 acres of land in Western Fresno County under development by US-based independent power producer (IPP) Intersect Power.
Sweden-headquartered BESS developer-operator Ingrid Capacity will build a 70MW/140MWh project in Finland, which it claimed will be the largest in the country.
