Developer Squadron Energy is seeking to build an 8-hour duration 1,200MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in New South Wales, Australia, co-located with a 300MW wind project.

Pacific Green Technologies has applied for approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act, for its 1GW/2.5GWh Portland BESS in Victoria, Australia.
