New York’s biggest fossil fuel plant to become renewables & energy storage hub

Energy asset developer Rise Light & Power will redevelop its 2,480MW Ravenswood Generating Station – New York City’s biggest power plant – as a new renewable energy hub including on-site energy storage.

New York City’s first project pairing EV charging with battery storage awarded to Centrica

In what seems likely to be the first of many such projects for New York City, an electric vehicle (EV) charging hub is going to be equipped with a 5MW / 15MWh battery energy storage system.
